Pumpkin film Zurich 2010

Release is a series of 3 digital drawings drawn and screen-printed by hand on lambda paper, each in 10 copies. A blend of faces and views of melting glaciers (inspired by satellite imagery), this series evokes the strange duality between the danger of death for humans who venture into a no-man’s-land, and the danger of death for the environment wherever humans settle. It presents a pessimistic vision of the human, political, and ecological nexus, in which humanity loses every time.
